Abstract Submission




INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Abstracts must be written in English and submitted online using the official form that is available on-line on the congress web site.

Submission deadline is March 31, 2009.

The Scientific Committee will evaluate the abstracts. They will be accepted and appointed for poster presentation or oral presentation accordingly.

At least one of the authors must register for the congress in full in order for the abstract to be accepted and published.

Abstract form should include:

•Title with capitalized letters
•Names and surnames of the authors
•Institutions of the authors, city and country
•Text of the abstracts containing 1850 characters (Font: Arial 10 point font size, single-line spacing, structured with sub-headings: objective(indicating the primary purpose of the study), material and methods, results and conclusion. Tables, graphs and formulas should be avoided.
•Name, surname, address and e-mail address of the presenting author, to whom the confirmation and further correspondence will be sent.

In case of any problems during the on-line submission procedure pleasure contact the Congress Secretariat. Abstracts submitted by post of fax will not be accepted.

The organizers and editors reserve the right to edit abstracts and to reject any abstracts that do not meet the above requirements.

ABSTRACT SELECTION

Selection of abstracts for oral or poster presentation will be based on the judgement of the scientific committee.
The abstract selection process will be completed by May 15, 2009 and authors will then be notified. Only the person identified as the submitter will receive notification, which will be sent to the e-mail address provided upon submission.
Accepted abstracts will be published as a supplement of a Cytology Journal which will be included in the congress materials.


All abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Decision about acceptance will be informed by email to the contact person by 15 May 2009.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR ORAL PRESENTATION AND POSTER SESSION

Oral Presentation

Only PowerPoint presentations will be accepted at all congress sessions.
Speakers will be kindly invited to deliver their presentations on CD-ROM or USB memory devices to the preview room at least three hours before the beginning of the session or the previous afternoon for morning sessions.
Equipment will be available at the Congress Venue speaker preview room in order to perform a final check of presentation.

Poster Sessions

Poster board is available in a size of 90 cm width and 120 cm height.
Posters will be on display in the exhibition hall on Monday, September 28 and a new set on Tuesday, September 29.
Presenting authors are kindly asked to be in front of their posters for discussion during coffee and lunch break.


RESIDENTS SLIDE SEMINAR

All residents attending the congress are invited to submit interesting cases, they would like to present. Six to eight cases will be selected for oral presentation, at the auditorium.

Abstracts for presenting and publication must not have been previously presented or published at any other national or international congress.
